What types of incentives are available?
The Industrial Energy Efficiency Program has funding available for both electric and greenhouse gas saving opportunities. Incentives for projects reducing greenhouse gases are available until December 2023 (or until all funds have been awarded; whichever comes first).
|Projects reducing electricity|
|Type||Energy Audit or Feasibility Studies||Project Incentives|
|Small Industries||50% of eligible costs (Max $10K)||Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $150K)|
|Large Industries||50% of eligible costs (Max $20K)||Lesser of: $0.108/kWh or 50% of eligible costs (Max $300K)|
|Projects Reducing Greenhouse Gases|
|Small and Large Industries||Incentives are 25% of capital costs. Please contact program staff to determine project eligibility.|
The project stream provides incentives on energy saving projects. Project types include, but not limited to
- Process Improvements
- HVAC Systems
- Building Envelope
- Compressed Air
- Energy Intensity Reduction
- Fuel Switching
If you don’t know where to start, an energy audit will help identify areas for improvement and key opportunities in your operations.
If you have a project already in mind, start with a feasibility study to help ensure the retrofit is cost effective.
|Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS) - Electric Only|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Audit: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $10K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Design: 50% of eligible study costs (Max $35K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Implementation: 50% of eligible project costs (Max $80K)|
|Small and Large Industries||EMIS Optimization:50% of eligible project costs (Max $30K)|
Energy management information systems provide you with the right information to help you optimize your energy use.
